Made infamous by the 1969 film 'Get Carter' and designed by Owen Luder Architects, Trinity Square was built in 1968 and incorporated a 7 storey car park and pedestrianised shopping centre. It was a fantastic example of concrete brutalist architecture. It closed in 2008 and was demolished in 2010. These photos were taken 2006-2007 and are archived at Gateshead Council and the Tyne & Wear Archive.
